The project
The project installs and rehabilitates wells in Zambia's Central Province to provide a safe water source for rural communities.
How it works
Manual or solar pumps make water available without the need to boil it over wood-fired stoves. The reductions therefore come from the fuel avoided under the baseline scenario, not from CO₂ removal.
